A continuously-updated list of major features in the works for EmployerRegistry.ca

List is in no particular order - priority is determined based on benefit and timing

National Occupation Code (NOC) integration All Employers & Opportunities will be classified based on NOCs allowing for powerful reporting capabilities.

New Local Site Design The local site design as currently exists will be replaced with a new, more graphical design allowing for customization by PtoP coordinators.

Video Posting in News & Events Coordinators will be able to embed video clips into news & event items through the CMS.

Educators – List by Contact View Users will be able to list educators “by contact” in addition to the current “by school” listing. This will allow coordinators to export a list of all their educators, and get an accurate count on the number of educators registered

Export Options Including more options for exporting lists: which fields to include, filters, etc.

Click-able links in Employer Profiles & Opportunities Allow for links to external websites for additional information on opportunities & employers.

Translation of new notifications New notification messages added in EmployerRegistry.ca 2.0 will be translated into French.

Revised Opportunity posting screen New design with changes to indicate to employers which opportunities they’ve posted and better covey their progress through the posting process.

Post multiple opportunities with one click Gives employers the ability to post multiple placements of the same type with one click.

Additional language options for opportunities Allow for languages that are not French/English to be used as options during opportunity posting screen.

First Nation Schools Add federally-funded First Nations schools to the list of educational organizations within the system.

Local Site Launcher – Map & List Add a new, more visible way for users to jump into local sites from the ER.ca home page, most likely through a graphical map view and a standard list.

Returning User Page For returning users (already registered), display a list of news stories & other up-to-date information on the ER.ca home page, instead of the registration form.

Advanced Searching & Filtering options Allow users to filter Employer list by sector & other criteria.

Create automatic notifications Develop a list of automatic notifications for users based on criteria, ie. send a notification to all employers near the beginning of each academic year.

Determine rules for marketing opportunities as ‘filled’ Further expand existing rules for when an opportunity is no longer listed on the site.

Automatic notification of Industry Associations / Sector Council All PtoP coordinators will receive notification of industry associations / sector councils.

More GIS/mapping options Allow for “Map View” of all employers registered, and allow for notification settings based on distance. Plus, further enhancements. The sky is the limit.

Educator Account Move Will allow users to move educator accounts to different schools, for when a teacher changes positions, etc.

Key Contact Displayed in Passport List When user clicks "Passport" in dashboard view, make sure the key contact for each Passport organization is displayed.

"Interested in Summer Placements" checkbox for employers Allow employers to indicate their interest in summer job placements when registering.

Alphabet Jump for Employer/Educator List New user control -- select 'T' to jump to employers that start with T, etc.

Include "Passport Area" column in export Will allow sorting by Passport area to get a picture of involvement across the province.

Change default to 9-12 instead of K-4 Current default is not really making a lot of sense.

"Remember me" option during login Ensure users do not have to type in their password every time

Auto-formatting Allow system to correct odd formatting on registrations automatically, ie. "XYZ COMPANY" becomes "XYZ Company."

"No email" option Allow an employer to register without an email address.
