Options Partner Information
Partnerships are at the core of the successful Options Skilled Trades initiative in Renfrew County. Since its inception, Algonquin College and Renfrew County's school boards have teamed up to create an interactive showcase of apprenticeship training opportunities in the region. These educational institutes also partner with local employers like Atomic Energy of Canada, CFB Petawawa and many small to medium size businesses who make financial and in kind contributions that ensure the show is always successful.
Employers often provide staff to set up interested displays and to answer questions asked by youth consider skilled trade careers. Employers are also involved in planning skill competitions with teachers, and are often called upon to be judges for these competitions.
