TEEN ESTEEM: the Lunch Bunch Mentoring Program
Not all young people have role models from whom to learn or the encouragement and financial resources to reach for a dream. If young people do not realize the scope of careers available to them, they do not aim for goals that make those jobs possible.
Teen Esteem: the Lunch Bunch program is a four-week, lunch hour mentoring program offered to girls and boys in Grades 6, 7 & 8 in Niagara. In this program, students enjoy hearing the personal stories of workshop presenters and realize that for every success story, there have been challenges to overcome and years of hard work invested.
Self-esteem is one of the building blocks of a healthy and happy person who believes they can influence their world. Self-esteem means tackling new ideas and situations competently and not admitting defeat before the contest begin.
