Employers engaging Students Re:Action

Three Employers, three sectors, taking part in the Youth Re:Action Project.....

Youth Re: Action proposed action from the 2011 Workforce Planning and Development Board's, Local Labour Market Plan 2011 

 Action: Three teams of youth will each meet with a business leader to learn about a workforce or business issue that the business leader would like to see addressed. The youth team will develop a solution for the issue and present their report to the business leader. Teams will employ interpersonal skills and relationship building through the action both within their team and with the business leader.
 
Overall Goal:
·         Sharing between business and youth
·         Business will have an opportunity to share the soft skills needed for employment
·         Youth will learn the soft skill needed
 
Supporting Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Environment, Arts and Culture, and Information & Communications Technology
 

Employers particiatping:

  • IGPC Ethanol Inc.
  • Palace Theatre
  • Let’s Talk Science
Project to take place in the Second semester, January 2012.
