Program Description
Unfortunately, we will not be running the IT Technology program in its present form. We are hoping, in the future to have an IT program so stay tuned!
Information Technology Technician Concentrated OYAP is a program specifically designed to help students make a smooth successful transition from high school directly into their post-secondary Information Technology Technician (ITT) apprenticeship or diploma program. Upon completion of the first level of apprenticeship training students will be allowed to specialize in Help Desk, Hardware or Networking. At the beginning of this course, all students will be signed to their apprenticeship.
In Halton, the ITT OYAP program is a partnership program with Canadore College and both the Halton Catholic District & Halton District School Boards. Similar apprenticeship preparation certificate programs are also offered at local community colleges, and private Technical Training Centres. They can cost between $2,500 and $6,000 at these other sites.
