Construction had one of highest job vacancy rates: Statistics Canada

'Statistics Canada says despite a high unemployment rate, there were about a quarter of a million job vacancies during the summer months last year.

Among the 10 industrial sectors analyzed, educational services had the highest ratio of vacancies at 10 to one, followed by construction and manufacturing...'

Over the summer months many NEW employers have signed on to the Employer Registry to offer a wide range of experiential learning opportunities for students in the GTA; educators can search for student opportunities by registering on EmployerRegistry.ca.

For GTA students there are nearly 2 000 employers and 3 000 opportunities listed on EmployerRegistry.ca.
