Durham school boards to teach about mental health. WHITBY -- Ontario Shores, local school boards and teachers are letting kids and teens with mental illness know they are not alone.

And they hope to tackle this important issue among youth before it's too late, through a mental health curriculum in local schools.

"In Canada, suicide is the second leading cause of teenage deaths, next to automobile accidents," said Michael Nettleton, chairman of the board at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.

For GTA students there are nearly 2 000 employers and 3 000 opportunities listed on EmployerRegistry.ca.
